Due to the current development situation on the site, rental contracts will be agreed for a period of 3-12 months and will be extended on an ongoing basis for the time of the ongoing process. Following the current phase, there is a likely chance for contracts be transformed into a long-term solution as part of the developments’ non-profit solution.
We are looking for artists from all areas of the visual arts, artisans and cultural projects. In particular, we would like to have people who would like to set up a workshop for artistic printmaking techniques. Our basement rooms can be used by cultural projects as well as storage rooms.

As a community of culturally working people, we share the vision of shaping and maintaining a free space for socio-cultural use in the centre of Berlin, in which individual self-realisation is combined with solidary action for the community.
When selecting new tenants, it is important to assess not only the content and quality of a project, but also whether existing uses can be usefully supplemented and whether a tenant can and will contribute positively community within the building. The content-related and social administration and management of the spaces and members is carried out by the SKPZ and a democratically elected committee. The spirit and identity of the Sociocultural Project Centre (SKPZ) is decisively determined by the sum of the activities of the individual houses and the projects located there, their cooperation and their synergetic and joint action among each other. About the landlord:
The owner’s aim is to promote community-oriented or non-commercial art and culture in the city. For this very reason, the owner has been offering subsidised rents with capped costs within the SKPZ since 2015. Art and culture are not only to be secured at this location, but also to grow and flourish in conjunction with the development of the quarter as an urban and cultural landmark. The landlord has since 2016 worked proactively and took over the technical and commercial support of the project houses. In the meantime, he has been working with the SKPZ committee on the development and management of the spaces and projects. Together with the head of council for construction and the district office, a long-term subsidised solution with GSE gGmbH is currently being developed in the course of the overall development plan.

The rooms are located in 3 different self-managed houses. Unfortunately, the rooms are not barrier-free. High voltage is partly available. In order to apply, the following criteria should be met and considered:
- You intend to regularly use your room to work in.
- The rooms must not be used as living space.
- You are interested in community and networking, actively taking part in the plenary.
- The houses are self-organised. This means that we all help out and take on certain tasks.
